A couple of months ago, I created some mushroom watercolor artwork for Spoonflower — a site that does on-demand printing. They focus on fabrics (huge selection), but also offer wallpaper and gift wrap. And now, butterflies!

3 Spoonflower Fabrics - Watercolor Mushrooms and Butterflies by Janet Crosby

I do not sew, but I do love the quality of color and reproduction I see on Spoonflower. You cannot list anything to sell until you have ordered a sample first to make sure it is printed true to your art. I have been very happy with the 3 designs I have submitted so far.

For the mushrooms, I ordered samples in Silk Crepe De Chine (Mushroom Naturals) and Heavy Cotton Twill (Mushroom Brights). I just received my latest design, Watercolor Butterflies on Minky (soooo soft!) and already love it. Now what to make with my sample squares… 😀

You can check out my Spoonflower Shop here. Confused about fabric offerings? Me too. I ordered the Fabric Sample Pack to see and feel all of the fabrics offered.
